Minimalism in Inflation Model Building ∗

چکیده
In this paper we demand that a successfull inflationary scenario should follow from a model entirely motivated by particle physics considerations. We show that such a connection is indeed possible within the framework of concrete supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories where the doublettriplet splitting problem is naturally solved. The Fayet-Iliopoulos D-term of a gauge U(1)ξ symmetry, which plays a crucial role in the solution of the doublet-triplet splitting problem, simultaneously provides a built-in inflationary slope protected from dangerous supergravity corrections. Dynamic Relationship between Inflation Uncertainty and Private Investment in Iran: An Application of VAR-GARCH-M Model
This paper empirically investigates the relationship between CPI inflation uncertainty, and private investment in the Iranian economy from 1988 to 2010 by using quarterly data. We employ a bivariate VAR(5)-GARCH(1,1)-in-mean with diagonal BEKK model to discover in a unified framework how are the interactions between the variables. In the model, conditional variance of inflation and private inve...

I discuss why quintessential inflation model-building is more natural in the context of brane cosmology and study a particular model as an example.
متن کاملThe Survey of the Asymmetric Effects of Inflation's Positive and Negative Shocks on Inflation Uncertainty in Iran Through the Extending Ball Model (1992)
The purpose of current paper is to survey the asymmetric effects of inflation's positive and negative shocks on inflation uncertainty in short-run and long-run. For this end, first, the Ball model (1992) has been extended through the decomposition of inflation shocks to money demand's positive and negative shocks and money supply's positive and negative shocks. Then, through using nonlinear aut...
متن کاملFalse Vacuum Chaotic Inflation : the New Paradigm ?
Since the observation by COBE of cmb anisotropy at the expected level, the idea that an initial inflationary era sets the conditions for the subsequent hot big bang has enjoyed unprecedented popularity. At the same time, the level of interest in building an actual model of inflation has never been lower. Perhaps the general feeling is that there are already too many theoretically viable models,...
متن کاملAsymmetric Behavior of Inflation in Iran: New Evidence on Inflation Persistence Using a Smooth Transition Model
T his paper investigates the asymmetric behavior of inflation. We use logistic smooth transition autoregressive (LSTAR) model to characterize the regime-switching behavior of Iran’s monthly inflation during the period May 1990 to December 2013. We find that there is a triple relationship between the inflation level, its fluctuations and persistence. The findings imply that the behavi...
